God’s Town Crier

“Oyez.” “Oyez.” “Oyez.”

The earth is God’s quilt. The oceans; skies; lands are the squares. The people are the stiches. Some people are missing, they’re the dropped stiches, the backsliders who once were a part of it all but dropped out! They are vitally needed, God seeks them out and won’t stop until they are ‘picked’ up and put back where they belong. You are important. never, never, never, never give up! Imagine if a beautiful knitted quilt had some squares missing, how would it look?

1) Un-finished;

2) The shape would not hold square;

3) People would notice the holes where squares should be;

4) The gaps detract from the finished garment…it’s incomplete.

God sees the finished product, His Bride (the Church), as already complete in Christ. The Church (which is the people), cannot function properly without all its parts intact! Some squares are yet to be added; some dropped a stitch and need repairing! Every Church has gaps, they are the holes waiting to be filled by you! Without you, the quilt is incomplete…don’t withold yourself.

Quietus (kwi’e-) n. death; being got rid of; formerly. receipt for a bill.

“Let this sink into your spirit. Jesus by His death got rid of your sins. Formerly you were lost to God, but by the sacrifice of Jesus’ blood you are brought back to Him! He paid the price for you. He offers you a receipt for the bill you could not pay. Let that ‘Quiet’ you, and bring you peace. God Bless you. “Oyez.”

“Let it be known this day that the Lord God desires His people to come back to Him. He is calling the lost sheep to come back. Those that ran away, left the fold, no matter the reason why they left, He loves them. In Ezekiel 34, He is talking about ‘the shepherds’ who failed their flocks. Maybe your Pastor let you down? Maybe he sinned against you and God? Well listen! God says he is your Shepherd! Never mind the one who failed you, God will never fail you. Come back to Him; to Church; to the Body of Christ. You are part of the Body, part of the flock. Freely you are forgiven, so forgive the one who hurt you. ( To the Pastors and leaders of the flock, Go and seek the broken ones; the hurting ones; bind their wounds, bring them home to their Father and your Father. Forgive and be forgiven! Then shall the Lord cause His light to shine upon you. “Oyez.”

 ”Oyez. Oyez. Oyez!”   First light…the sky was a very pale blue, streaked with pink, candy floss pink, like God had dipped His paint brush into a shell from a South sea island and stroked it from left to right in great sweeping strokes! Look, there’s the backdrop for today! What will you paint upon this canvas? You have a palette at hand… you can paint it any way you want. God has given each of us a new day, everyday. He has hung this beautiful world in space, He keeps it turning day after day on our behalf.   He says “Here is a new picture to be painted just for you! Sunrise to Sunset, you can choose what to use. Will you daub the day with dark colours, so that others will see the pain you feel? Will the paint run and drip onto them, spotting their lives also? You can choose. Will you flick colours off the tip of your tongue like a frantic artist splashing the canvas, with no rhyme or reason, purging yourself and calling it art? Will you take this day and paint upon the canvas I have set up for you? You’re in the studio of God, I am the Master Artist and I want to take your life and each day make a beautiful picture.”

He’s giving you the opportunity to improve your skill, to work towards your own exibition… because exhibit you do… for others to view! Will they look at what you present and feel confused, will they study you only to shake their head and move on to the next one? Will you be the picture that causes the most stir… the one that has a big group in front of it! They’ll know that you’ve been with the ‘Master’, the One who inspired Michelangelo. People will be drawn to you because of the calmness of your countenance, the light that shines out, touching a chord within them. They’ll know that this is the work of the Master of the Universe!         God Bless you and keep you, and cause His face to shine upon you.  “Oyez.”

How does He (God) love you, let me count the ways! He created the Earth for you to live on!
He made it all good for you!
He gave you air to breathe, water to drink, food to eat.
He placed the sun at just the right distance from Earth so as not to burn you up!
He gives you night to sleep in to be refreshed.
He says “Never will I leave you, all that I have is thine” (from His Heart of Love).
