“This year lies ahead with all its time,

Will you use some, to celebrate with me, on-line!?

What will the King have to say, for the next 365 days?

His word never changes, on that you can be sure,

It’s an anchor so deep and very secure.

Build on His Word a foundation strong,

Then nothing will shake you all year long.

When you search for Him with all your heart,

He’ll be found of you, come on, let’s start!”

Jeremiah 29:11-13.

V11. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD,

thoughts of peace, and not of evil,

to give you an expected end.

V12. Then shall ye call upon me,

and ye shall go and pray unto me,

and I will hearken unto you.

V13. And ye shall seek me, and find me,

when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

The Year Of God’s Favour and Grace

Published by admin under Main Feed

“Oyez!’ “Oyez!” “Oyez

The King wants to meet His people, every day He has time for you.  A ruling Monarch who would do that! Listen then to His word to you.

“A change of pace is what you need

In order to survive,

You are not a machine, you need to rest

And let Jesus be your guide.

This year has been a hectic one

Much rushing to and fro,

Not seeing Him who waits for you

His blessings to bestow.

Slow down, slow down and come aside,

What you need is a change of pace…

‘Time’ to look full in His wonderful face.

Then for you_

 2009 will be

‘The Year Of God’s Favour and Grace!’

“God bless you and keep you, and cause His Face to shine upon you.”

“Happy New Year!”

A Man For All Seasons

Published by admin under Main Feed

“Oyez!” “Oyez!” “Oyez!”

This missive from your King…

“When you turn off the lights

When you put them away

Will you say that’s that

For another year and a day!

Will you pack up Jesus in the box as well?

Along with Mary, Joseph, shepherds and the wise men

 do tell?

Will the sound of bells vanish along with the sleigh…

Or continue to ring each new holy day?

Will you forget what He’s all about

Next week at work, when the people shout…

Will you hear His voice through the ‘cheer’ of New Year?

Fast the days go as you hurry along…

Now and then a ‘recall’ of some festive song

’till before you know it the year has all gone!

How tired you feel with all that has happened

The holidays will be here soon

You can relax for a second…

Unpack the box with the decorations

Deck the halls, tis the season to be jolly

Forget the year with all its folly.

As you put up your display…

of lights , with music and festive cheer

Remember Jesus is here all year!

He wants to be more than the ‘reason’

If you ask Him in, He’ll be your Man for all seasons.

This Day

Published by admin under Main Feed

“Oyez!” “Oyez!” “Oyez!”

“What does the King have to say on this fine day?”

“Will you do what He says or go on your own way?”

“One day at a time is all He suggests…

Stay focused on that,

Don’t be overwhelmed by the rest! ( Matt 6: 34.)

You can do it one day at a time

Break it down into sections…

As each task you perform, you’ll not be forlorn.

Start with the ‘Morning Star,’ ( Rev 22; 16.) so divine!

The rest of the day will follow just fine.

Give Him your worries and anxious thought…

That’s the way to bring them all to nought!

As the night settles and you fall asleep

Blessed you’ll be that His word you heard,

And did keep. ( Luke 11: 28.)

Ladybug

Published by admin under Main Feed

“Oyez!” “Oyez!” “Oyez!”

Ladybugs, small and bright with those distinct black spots. They eat up unwanted insects, so their arrival in the garden brings delight to the heart of dedicated gardeners!  I remember them from my childhood days in England. Lovely red, ( my favorite colour! ) and shiny. As they flew from bush to bush, I liked to catch one and watch it walk on my hand, then open its tiny wings and fly away. Years later, here in Australia,  I was in need of encouragement and God used a ladybug to show me He was there. Only He could know how much I’d loved these little bugs as a child, and one lightened on my hand just after I’d prayed  for help. Ladybugs are God’s love letters to me! God knows you, and you are unique, He will communicate his will to you in line with His Word, and your peculiar quirk! You know what will speak to you of His love, so trust Him to show you. God will take the first step, He will reveal himself to you, and make himself known to you in a  unique way.  ( I Thessalonians 5: 24. “The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.” )

the Splendour of God is awful

Published by admin under Main Feed

“Oyez!” “Oyez!” “Oyez!”

“Good citizens of the world, God is in His Heaven and all is well with the world.”

Job37: 21-24. “Men cannot gaze even upon yonder sun, so dazzling in the heavens, now that the wind has come to clear the clouds, now radiant light streams from the northern sky; and the Splendour of God is awful, the Almighty is beyond our minds. Supreme in power and rich in justice, he violates no right. For this men do Him reverence, and thoughtful men revere Him.” ( Moffatt Bible. )

Behold the Spendour of God in His brightness and the brilliance will dazzle you! As if you were to behold a royal ceremony, the glory, the grandeur, all the majesty of the spectacle. Such pomp and display enthrall as you watch the show. The radiance of the Lord God is renown, fall on your knees in the richness of His magnificence! Do Him reverence, in solemnity.

Then shall your strength last like your days!

Duet 33: 26, 27. “No God like the God of Jeshurun, who rides through heaven to your rescue, sublimely through the skies! God eternal is your home, and underneath you are the everlasting arms!”

Town Crier ‘Calls it like it is.’

Published by admin under Main Feed

“Oyez!” “Oyez!” “Oyez!”

This glad Morn my Sovereign King said- “Call it like it is! Go forth into the market place and proclaim your testimony!”  ( Luke 21:13.)

This day let your heart be cheered by these words of mine.

I was christened as a baby in the Methodist Church, my parents didn’t go to church, but my grandparents did, so I am sure that had some bearing on it. My grandfather was a ‘lay preacher’. How I loved that man! He was soft spoken and patient with me and took the time to show me the wonders of creation. With binoculars at the ready we would set off on a long walk, the birds and butterflies to ’spy’! I look back now and see that he was used of God, he displayed some facets of Father God’s heart to me a child. My father was my hero. A little girl longs for daddy to be her hero, just one look from him could do so much for me; if a look of love- I was lovely! A look of disappointment- I was devastated! Yet I knew he loved me no matter what I did. There’s another facet of Father God’s heart. I first sensed the presence of God, that He was ‘real’ when at the age of 8, whilst living on an Airforce Base in Nairobi, East Africa, my friend Enid took me into the ‘Catholic Chapel’ room to show me around! I don’t think we were supposed to be in there unattended. I remember looking at all those statues of ’saints’ and thinking= ‘Why do they have all these?’ At the same time I was suddenly aware of the presence of God.  Enid was chatting on about ‘Holy water’  and how they prayed to the Virgin Mary and other saints. I left that place with a sense of God’s presence.

Two years later and I was back in England, suddenly for no reason I wanted to go to church! My mother was surprised that I wanted to go, but gave her permission, so I  went to Sunday school. Afterwards I stayed for the church service, sitting on my own in the balcony! I loved the book I received with a story and a place to stick a different pictured stamp every week. God reaching down to me, and drawing me slowly to Himself! Let me ‘call back’ to you from where I am, nearly 30yrs as a christian, still climbing the mountain of God, the ‘view’ up here is glorious. The outlook widens with the altitude. I have found something worth while, I ought to ‘call back’. Let my call to you guide your footsteps, encourage you to carry on, don’t give up! I’ll call back and tell you He went with me into the storm, He kept me safe. He heard me when my prayer was but a cry! Oh, child of God He sticks closer than a brother, you can lean on Him. I see His hand guiding me through all these days gone by, He will do it for you. I love Him so much words cannot describe it, He is my all in all, in Him I live and move and have my being. Let Him be so to you also. And guess what? When my father was dying of cancer, 16yrs ago, I had the joy of showing him the way to salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord! Then my mother wanted to give her heart to Jesus, so we all held hands and prayed together, it doesn’t get much better than that!

Invitation

Published by admin under Main Feed

“Oyez!” “Oyez!” “Oyez!”

The King says “Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” ( Jer 33:3 ) God cares. Turn to Him, put up your hands like a baby asking for ‘pick me up.’ He’ll come and answer you. “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” ( Acts 2: 21 )

Hymn 673:

How sweet to leave the world awhile,

And seek the presence of our Lord!

Dear Saviour: on thy people smile,

And come according to Thy word.

from busy scenes we now retreat,

That we may here converse with Thee:

O Lord! behold us at Thy feet-

Let this the “gate of heaven” be

“chief of ten thousand!” now

appear,

That we by faith may see Thy

face;

O grant that we Thy voice may

hear,

And let Thy presence fill this

place.JCSM's Top 1000 Christian Sites - Free Traffic Sharing Service!
