Shout to the Lord

Is anyone of you in trouble?  He should pray.  James ch 5:13. (NIV)

In life’s pressures, responsibilities, cares and moments of crisis; you can have ‘rest’ in the security of God’s will.

Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth.  Psalm 46: 10. (NIV)

Live in God’s rest.

Be calmed in His presence.

He will help.

Is anyone happy?  Let him sing songs of praise.  James ch 5:13. (NIV)

Sing praises to God, sing praises;

Sing praises to our King, sing praises.

For God is the King of all the earth;

sing to him a psalm of praise.

God reigns over the nations;

God is seated on his holy throne.  Psalm 47: 7,8. (NIV)

Either way it is a win win situation!

When in trouble, pray! 

 God will answer. 

He is exalted.

After prayer, you know He has heard your requests… if you ask according to His will.

When happy, sing songs of praise!

God is on His throne.  He overrules situations to serve His own purpose.

What a relief!

Trust Him.

Be reassured.

Is anything to hard for God?

Prayer & Praise is all you need,

remember them as your twins,

you’ll never fail

who dares wins!

Summum bonum

“Life is before you. You can only live it once.”

Love is the Summum bonum ( supreme good.)

God’s word is a lamp to your feet. It shines out in the darkness…

guiding you!

“Love suffereth long, and is kind;

Love envieth not;

Love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly,

Seeketh not her own,

Is not easily provoked,

Thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all

things, endureth all things.”

Read the entire chapter of 1 Cor 13 for more on God’s kind of Love!

The Apostle Peter said, “Above all things have fervent love among yourselves.”

John goes farther, “God is love!”

Paul said,”Love is the fulfilling of the law.”

Man has always tried to work his passage to heaven by keeping the law.

Christ said, “I will show you a more simple way, if you love, you will unconsciously fulfil the whole law.”

Jesus Christ’s one secret of the Christian life!

Be filled with God’s Spirit and reflect the love of God to the world.

God’s love is the universal language.

It could take you years to learn another language, but the language of love is understood by all.

In the heart of Africa, among the great Lakes, African men and women remembered David Livingstone. They remembered the kind Doctor who passed there, they could not understand him; but they felt the love that beat in his heart.

“Now abideth faith, hope, love, but the greatest of these is love.”

Summum bonum.

Arise Shine for thy Light is come

“ARISE, shine; for thy light is come,

and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. 

 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,

 and gross darkness the people:

but the LORD shall arise upon thee,

 and his glory shall be seen upon thee.” (Isaiah 60: 1,2. KJV.)

AMERICA

The King would say to you.

Arise, shine, for thy light is come, and the Glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. Now is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the LORD and you shall be saved. Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess, that Jesus Christ is LORD to the Glory of God!’

The Prince of Peace

The King of King’s would say :
The Government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, The mighty God, the everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” ( Isaiah 9: 6,7. KJV )
Battle’s come and battle’s go
People die and never know
The King of King’s he died for them.
Every battle of the warrior
Is full of noise and confusion
Garments rolled in blood
Nay, not the blood of Calvary!
Men rejoice ,divide the spoil
Not knowing Jesus
Took it all.
Wrenched the keys of hell and death
Triumphed gloriously over satan
So for you heaven would be
Opened!
Government’s will come and go,
 and every leader needs to know,
the only government that will stand
is the one that will never end! 
The Prince of Peace will rule and reign over every land!

The Book

All The King’s Men

“Abraham Lincoln was a King’s man.”

He had courage and patience. A sense of humour. Was not biased.

He was a ‘peacemaker’.

A unique figure in American history.

“Barack Obama is a King’s man.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1.

There is a time for everything.

There’s a time for everything that is done on earth.(NIrV)

Sir Winston Churchill said: “There comes a special moment in everyone’s life, a moment for which that person was born. That special opportunity, when he seizes it, will fulfill his mission- a mission for which he is uniquely qualified. In that moment he finds greatness. It is his finest hour.”

Dr. Peter Marshall, Chaplain of the United States Senate in the 1940’s, believed passionately in America’s God-appointed destiny.

Census time

“Welcome one and all, it’s time to respond to the call.”

God’s got your number! He knows where you live, what groups you belong to, the ministry for you.

Numbers Ch 1: 2.

“You and Aaron must count all the people of Israel by families and family groups, listing the name of each man.” (NCV)

Numbers 2: 1,2.

The LORD said to Moses and Aaron: “The Israelites should make their camps around the Meeting Tent, but they should not camp too close to it. They should camp under their family flag and banners.” (NCV)

Then God proceeds to number all of the people, and the jobs they are best suited to! 

So it was in Moses day.

 In Jesus day we fall into 1 of 2 groups!

Sheep or Goats!

Matthew 25: 31-46. Tells you all about it.

 I pray that you will decide to follow Jesus and be numbered with the sheep!

 I am ’shouting’ this in obedience to the King. He doesn’t want anyone to perish.

Hovering over you

This day your King announces:

“Look to Him the Holy One, seek help from the LORD.”

Isaiah 31:5.

Like birds hovering overhead, the LORD Almighty will shield Jerusalem; he will shield it and deliver it, he will ‘pass over’ it and will rescue it. (NIV)

Just as birds have their piece of land called territories, so God has His people who are His!

In Him is somewhere to live, move and have your being!

Birds sing to send a message: “It’s my garden!” They are territorial.

God says He will hover over you, to shield and deliver you! He will ‘pass over’ you, like a bird that swoops down to run off enemies from his territory.

You can rely on Him.

Male Robins sing loudly from a high perch so that they can be heard a long way off!

They are warning other Robins ‘this is mine!’

So your  God and King sings over you!

Zephaniah 3: 17.

“The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save.

He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love,

he will rejoice over you with singing.” (NIV)

God Hears You

Now Listen! God Hears You!

This day you said in your heart: “That’s o.k. for them, that was a word to the Israelites, not for me, I need to hear from God for me!”

It was for you!

All of God’s word is for you.

2 Timothy3: 16,17.

All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be throughly equipped for every good work. ( NIV)

 The word He spoke yesterday about Abraham and His call to him, and his provision to come….applies to you Abraham’s descendant.

Galations3: 6-9.

Consider Abraham: “He believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Understand, then, that those who believe are children of Abraham. The scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abaham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. (NIV)

This day God gives you this word:

Psalm 105: 1-11. Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judments he pronounced, Oh descendants of Abraham his servant, O sons of Jacob, his chosen ones. He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac. He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant: “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit.” (NIV)
