Behold, he prayeth

Published by admin under Main Feed

“Oyez!” “Oyez!” “Oyez!”

And the LORD said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus:

for, behold, he prayeth.  Acts 9: 11.(KJV)

“Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen; such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the Kingdom of heaven on earth. God does nothing but in answer to prayer.-John Wesley.

Prayer opens doors’

doors closed by man

swing wide when oiled

by prayer.

When will you understand

prayer moves God’s hand!

Come to the sanctuary

fill yourself with Him

No earthly efforts stand

prayer moves God’s hand!

When will you understand

prayer moves God’s hand!

Salvation of your loved ones?

prayer will bring

it to pass.

When will you understand

prayer moves God’s hand!

Neither rhyme nor reason

will work this fast

When will you understand

prayer moves God’s hand!

Have you washed today?

Published by admin under Main Feed

“Oyez!” “Oyez!” “Oyez!”

“The King extends grace to you this day.”

Did you rise this morn

and go to the stream

to be refreshed body and soul?

Did you dip real deep

in the crystal flow

letting all the worry

and tiredness go?

Did your devotion rise and bubble

as the waters flowed o’er stone and rubble?

wearing down the hard parts…

flowing o’er your un-locked heart.

Did God possess the inner chamber

all cleansed and free once more?

When you came to the Word

this morn and opened up the door!

Up and out you now can go

cleansed, perfumed from the crystal flow,

carrying within the essence of love…

You’ve been bathed once more

in the Father’s care

He sends you out

to give and  to share.

Morning has Broken

Published by admin under Main Feed

“Oyez! “Oyez!” “Oyez!”

My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the King;

my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer. Psalm 45: 1. (NIV)

The King goes forth…

The sunrise is My gift to you,

when all is still,

early in the morning when the world is at its best…’

“The great globe swings round out of the dark into the sun;

there is always morning somewhere;

and for ever in this shifting region,

the morning-light sees the little ones afoot…” William Canton.

“Rise up! Rise up!

Come see what I can see,

a little band of people

and a mutitude of birds!

Freshness, freshness everywhere!

Get up! Get up!

When the sun gets up.

Have more sunshine in your life!

As the sun climbs so will your spirit,

all day long.”

“I have seen these things in a shaft of sunlight.”–T.S. Eliot.

Come join the band of early risers….

  • Abraham
  • Jacob
  • Laban
  • Moses
  • Joshua
  • Samuel
  • David
  • Ezekiel
  • Jesus

And the beat goes on….

And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning.. Exodus 8:20 (KJV)

And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked…Exodus14:24 (KJV)

God likes to talk to you in the morning!

And to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at even. 1 Chron 23:30 (KJV)

“My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.” Psalm 5:3 (KJV).

And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. Mark 1:35. (KJV)

Sing of God’s power, His mercy in the morning–give Him your best time of day.

Victory

Published by admin under Main Feed

“Oyez!” “Oyez!” “Oyez!”

Psalm 107: 1, 2.-6, 7, 8. (KJ)

O Give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good:

for his mercy endureth for ever.

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,

whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.

Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

Psalm 108: 13. (KJ)

With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.

“What is your need today?

He will deliver you!

Give thanks for it now!

Then praise Him for His goodness!”

A Golden Ode

Published by admin under Main Feed

“Oyez!” “Oyez!” “Oyez!”

“A golden ode sung by David in the cave,

when he fled from Saul.’”

“Up, O God, high over heaven!

Up with thy glory over all the earth!

My heart is ready, ready, O God,

for song and melody.

Awake, my soul! awake, my lute and lyre!

Let me awake the dawn!

I would praise thee, Lord, among the peoples,

I would chant thee among the nations;

for thy love is high over heaven,

thy loyalty soars to the skies.

Up, O God, high over heaven!

Up with thy glory over all the earth!” Psalm 57: 5-11. (Moffatt)

“Leave all to the Eternal, who loves you;

never will he let good men come to grief.” Psalm 55: 22. (Moffatt)

Let your spirit soar to worship God as you listen.

By His Stripes

Published by admin under Main Feed

 ”Oyez!” “Oyez!”

There is a pattern here,

come one, come all , and lend an ear.

The mother Zebra to her newborn

turns her back

and by these means

she imprints.

The stripes.

For days this will happen

’til the babe

has got the pattern.

Always thereafter

he will follow.

Never losing his way.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole; and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. Numbers 21: 8 (KJV)

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53: 5. ( KJV)

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up; That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  John 3:14-16. (KJV)

As you look up at Jesus

hanging

on the cross

for you.

Look upon His stripes

and live.

Imprint on your mind this pattern

these bands

taken for you.

You will never

lose your way

If you do.

People need the Lord

Published by admin under Main Feed

“Oyez!” “Oyez!” “Oyez!”

The king goes forth this day

He would see His people face to face.

People need the Lord

living as they do

in discord.

Nothing and nobody can take His place

To bring peace to the human race.

Matthew 28: 18-20.(KJV)

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,

”All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost;

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.”

Journeyman

Published by admin under Main Feed

“Oyez!” “Oyez!’ “Oyez!”

Journeyman n. qualified artisan, paid by the day;

hireling, hired workman.

Hireling n. one who serves for wages (usually in contempt)

Contempt n. scorn, disgrace, disdain.

“Hear ye, Hear ye, Hear ye.”

God is not a man that He should lie

Jesus became a man so to die.

His journey began

 With the sin of man.

His course was set

He had right of passage.

He traversed this earth

To destroy the curse,

so we could progress to the second birth.

Qualified artisan…

came to serve.

His wage?

Your sin.

For you He took contempt

was scorned and treated with distain.

In their eyes His worth…

 thirty pieces of silver.

He went the route

to Golgotha’s hill,

for you His blood to spill.

He understands what you are going through

He ever lives to make intercession for you

as you  journey.

Look away to your God

Published by admin under Main Feed

“Oyez!” “Oyez!” “Oyez!”

On this fine day the King declares….

“The just shall live by faith.”

Look not at the world and the things you see go wrong. Look away, look away to your God!

You ask: “How can God allow justice to be perverted?”

“How can He ignore the plight of His people?”

“Why doesn’t He do something?”

“Does He care?”

He comes to chastise the nations and to save His own people.

Habakkuk 3:17-19. (NIV)

Though the fig tree does not bud

and there are no grapes on the vines,

though the olive crop fails

and the fields produce no food,

though there are no sheep in the pen

and no cattle in the stalls,

yet I will rejoice in the LORD,

I will be joyful in God my Savior.

The Sovereign LORD is my strength;

he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,

he enables me to go on the heights.

The Apostle Paul said: “None of these things move me.”

He stood firm, and ran the race.

He cared not for earthly things, he only wanted to be loyal to Jesus Christ.

Be encouraged.

Exodus 32: 26.(NCV)

So Moses stood at the entrance to the camp and said,

“Let anyone who wants to follow the LORD come to me.”

Today the King of kings would say:

“Let anyone who wants to follow Me, come to Me.”

Speak to Him then, for He hears,

And spirit with spirit can meet;

Closer is He than breathing,

And nearer than hands or feet.

Tennyson.

Happy talk

Published by admin under Main Feed

“Oyez!” “Oyez!” “Oyez!

“I am straightly commanded to let it be known to all persons here gathered…

That the King listens to your words!

Malachi 3: 16, 17. (KJV)

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another:  and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and thought upon his name.

And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. (KJV)

Are you speaking often to one another of the Lord… this is happy talk.

1 Thessalonians 4: 18.(KJV)

“Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

 Proverbs 16: 24.(KJV)

“Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.”

Psalm 19: 14.(KJV)

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditations of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

You get your name in God’s book!

When someone dies, you can pay to have their name written in the Book of Days at the cemetery, then every year on the anniversary of their passing, you can go and view  the page. It’s a way of remembering them. Some people pay a lot of money to have fancy scroll work  and lettering used, with flowery words, it is good to read  about that  loved one and be reminded of their love for you.

So it is with God.

He likes to read the words written about you….

He has them all down , and they remind Him of your love for Him!

He loves you so much that you will become a precious jewel to be made up.
