We make many requests throughout our lifetime. We request food, warmth and love as a tiny helpless baby, we do this by making a very loud noise at frequent regular intervals!
Baby birds are fed at the rate of almost once a minute! When one of the parent birds arrive at the nest with food, the babies open their beaks wide and stretch upwards.
In Psalm 81:10 God our Father says- “Open thy mouth wide and I will fill it.” This was spoken as a loving parent to his children, but they would not. Does a baby bird refuse to be fed? Being blind at first they cannot see their parent, only sense them: they are wired to open their mouths wide as soon as that parent comes near them.
God so longs to feed you himself, each time you open your mouth wide and request from him, he will do it! You have his word on it. Nestlings quickly put on weight this way, growing rapidly, so can you. He will only feed you the best! Psalm 81:16. “But you would be fed with the finest of wheat; with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.” At no time in our lives do we ever stop needing to be fed by God. “Oyez!” “Oyez!”
