“Whose heart the Lord opened.”

“Oyez!” “Oyez!” “Oyez!”

“The KingĀ is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter Ch 3v 9.

In Acts Ch 16 v14 we read of Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira. She was in Philippi at just the right time to hear Paul, and ‘whose heart the Lord opened.’

It wasn’t she who opened her own heart, it wasn’t any prayers that did it, it wasn’t Paul’s preaching! The Lord Himself must open the heart, He alone can put the key into the hole of the door and open it, and get admittance for Himself. He is the heart’s maker, let Him be your heart’s master.
